Welcome to Grace Certified Accountants.

My name is Dora Ngoma, founder, proprietor, and head accountant.

I am a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), Fellow of the Institute of Financial Accountants (FFA) and Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants (FIPA).

But those are just details. If you want to know who I am, we will have to go back to Zambia.

As a child in Zambia, I lived with my grandmother, who owned a bakery. Her produce was famous in the surrounding countryside, and people came long distances to buy it.

Some came from so far; it was evening before they arrived — and my grandmother would not hear of her customers setting off home through the night.

Instead, she insisted on them staying with us till morning, even when it caused some inconvenience fitting them in.

My grandmother has always been my role model. Although I originally wanted to be an Engineer, I found I loved accounting and, after more than two decades in the accounting profession in the UK, I finally opened my own accountancy firm.

And I do my best to run it just as my grandmother would!

An Accountant Who Doesn't Think Like an Accountant

My aim in setting up Grace Certified Accountants was to help business owners who are finding their business a prison to break free. This means doing so much more than adding up columns of numbers — it means working with the owner on a partnership level.

Your accounts and taxes are important, but they must be approached as part of a larger whole. After preparing your accounts, we will take the time to discuss them with you, so you will understand what is going on financially in your business and plan for the future with minimum exposure to risk.

We will also use the accounts to help you measure where you are in meeting your goals and what actions you need to take, to improve your situation.
